BERRIEN SPRINGS, MICHIGAN – April 7, 2026 – Honor Credit Union is pleased to welcome Adam Grumbir as Community Development Officer serving the St. Joseph, Benton Harbor, Baroda, and Stevensville communities. In this role, Grumbir will work closely with local businesses and community organizations to expand partnerships and help strengthen communities across the Southwest Michigan shoreline.
Grumbir brings a strong background in partnership development and community engagement. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in corporate communications with a minor in event management from Western Michigan University. He later built his career across sports and nonprofit organizations, specializing in account management and outreach campaigns.
Prior to joining Honor, Grumbir most recently served as Director of Partnership Development and Activation for a professional basketball organization. Earlier in his career, he held roles in account management and corporate partnerships with several professional sports organizations, as well as partnership campaign coordination for a regional nonprofit organization.
Supporting local communities has been a priority for Honor since it was founded as Berrien Teachers Credit Union more than 90 years ago. The Community Development Officer role helps bring that mission to life by building meaningful connections across the region.
“The opportunity to join a community-driven organization like Honor Credit Union while serving the communities I was born and raised in is exciting and one of several reasons it felt like a great next step in my career,” said Grumbir. “When I was a junior at St. Joseph High School, Berrien Teachers Credit Union helped me through the process of getting my first car, and several years later, that remains a positive and memorable experience. The chance to create that experience for those who are current members at Honor Credit Union or for those who are considering membership, is something I look forward to.”
In his new role, Grumbir will work closely with local organizations, schools, and businesses throughout Southwest Michigan to support community initiatives while helping connect individuals and families with financial resources that support their goals. Honor Credit Union looks forward to the impact Grumbir will make as he continues the organization’s mission of putting members and communities first.
