When you refer friends and family to join Honor Credit Union, and they successfully meet the requirements, both of you will earn a $25 Visa Prepaid Card! To earn the $25 Visa Prepaid Card, the referred member must first meet qualifying criteria. Once the qualifications are met, you and the new member earn the $25 Visa Prepaid Card – even better, it’s delivered right to your email.  Additionally, qualifying new members can earn an additional $250 incentive when joining Honor Credit Union.

To qualify, the referred friend must:

• Open a new savings and checking account.
• Make at least 8 debit card transactions of any value. Signature and PIN based transactions eligible.
• Have an incoming ACH or Direct Deposit of $500 or more.
• Have a valid email address
• Meet these requirements within 60 days of account opening.

Here’s how it works:

1. Register on honorcu.com/refer-a-friend/ to get your custom referral link.
2. Share your link with friends and family via social media via Facebook, Facebook Messenger or Email.
3. Earn a $25 Visa Prepaid Card when those you referred qualify!

All current members of Honor Credit Union who are in good standing are eligible to participate. Once the referred friend meets the qualifications, both will earn a $25 Visa Prepaid Card! Employees and their spouses and/or immediate family members are not eligible.

A member in good standing has an account with a positive balance and no collections with Honor Credit Union.

The referred member will need to click on the referral link which will direct them to our website, they will then enter in their email address and click “Get Started.” They will get routed to our online account opening page where they can begin to open their account.

If a member comes into a member center requesting to open their account, they must follow the beginning steps of clicking on the referral link and entering their email address. After that, the member center can open their account following their usual procedures.

It is very important to remember that the email address used to register when clicking the link needs to be the same email address that is entered on their membership. This is how the system will link the referrals together, so all parties receive the Visa Prepaid Card.

You will receive an email notification if your referral qualifies for the incentive within 60 days of their new account opening. They will be updated on the referral status, including how many referrals they’ve sent and how many are completed. Please note you will not see specific details on your referred friend’s current status (e.g., completed transactions or waiting on deposits) will not be provided.

Unfortunately, email addresses are required for this promotion. You and the referred friend or family member will need to set one up in order to receive your Visa Prepaid Card and participate in this promotion.

Once the referred friend completes the requirements, both you and your friend will receive an email notification right away. This will include instructions to redeem the Visa Prepaid Card through Tango Card.

Yes, you can earn up to $500 in Visa Prepaid Cards per calendar year. 

You must select your Visa Prepaid Card within 4 months from the date the email is sent, once redeemed you have 7 months to use the Visa Prepaid Card.

You will enter in your friend’s email address on our Refer-A- Friend Page, they will then receive either an email inviting them to use your custom referral link or they will receive this custom referral link via Facebook or Facebook Messenger if you select to share from your social media. This will come from Honor inviting them to open a new account with us (and letting them know that the member referred them to redeem this reward!). Then they can simply click on the referral redemption link to get started.

For security purposes, it is recommended that you let your friends know that you are referring them. The friend should confirm that the email they receive is coming from you on behalf of Honor Credit Union. The email address will be listed do-not-reply@honorcu.com on behalf of Honor Credit Union.

If it’s been more than 60 days since the friend met the qualifications and one or either party has not received their Visa Prepaid Card, please email marketing@honorcu.com for assistance.
