BERRIEN SPRINGS, MICHIGAN — January 13, 2026 — Honor Credit Union is proud to continue its long-standing tradition of supporting education through its 2026–2027 Community Commitment Scholarship Program. Now in its 16th year, the program will award $30,000 in scholarships to 12 graduating Michigan high school seniors making a positive impact in their communities, with $2,500 awarded to each student.
Education has been at the heart of Honor Credit Union since its founding as Berrien Teachers Credit Union in 1934. Today, Honor serves members across Michigan through 28 locations, while continuing to invest in students and lifelong learning.

The Community Commitment Scholarship Program Eligibility
- Applicants must be a primary account holder at Honor Credit Union at the time of application and award presentation.
- Students must be graduating high school seniors in 2026 and plan to attend a college or trade school in fall 2026.
- Applicants must complete an online application, including a short-form essay highlighting academic achievements and community involvement.
Applications must be submitted online by Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Paper applications delivered to branch locations will not be accepted. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 1, 2026. Full details and the online application can be found at www.honorcu.com/scholarship.
