Honor Credit Union Announces Final Numbers from 2025 Free Community Shred Days

2025 Shred Days Impact

BERRIEN SPRINGS, MICHIGAN – October 7, 2025 – Honor Credit Union is proud to announce the success of its 2025 Free Community Shred Days, making a meaningful impact across Michigan. In partnership with NAID Certified Data Guardian and Country Mile Document Destruction, Honor hosted 10 statewide shred events this year. Together, these events securely disposed of 66,960 pounds of paper, helping communities protect personal information while supporting environmental sustainability.

Honor’s Free Community Shred Days are open to everyone and are designed to promote identity theft prevention by securely destroying confidential documents. All shredded paper was recycled, reinforcing Honor’s commitment to sustainability. Beyond shred events, Honor also offers digital solutions like online and mobile banking and paperless e-statements, making it easy for members to protect their information while reducing their carbon footprint.

Honor extends its appreciation to its business partners for generously hosting Shred Day events at their locations. A special thank you goes out to Paw Paw Brewing Company and First Church of God in St. Joseph for their invaluable support and partnership.

For nearly a decade, Free Community Shred Days have been a tradition at Honor Credit Union. Looking ahead, Honor is excited to continue offering a safe way to dispose of personal information, protect the environment, and bring peace of mind to the communities it serves. The 2026 Shred Day schedule will be released early next year.
