Debit Card - Text Fraud Alerts
You will now receive an automated call or text message if your debit card is denied at point of sale due to a fraud alert. This feature will give you the opportunity to respond if you are trying to use your debit card, and will make it faster and easier to detect fraud to your account! Here's what you need to know:
- If you have a landline on record, an automated voice call will be sent. If it is a mobile phone number, a SMS/Text message will be sent.
- Any automated voice calls will specify that the notification is regarding your Honor Credit Union Debit Card.
- This fraud protection service is completely free to you!*
Text Fraud Alerts will include the standard sample verbiage: "FreeMsg: Honor Credit Union Fraud Dept: Possible unauthorized txn on account ending in 1234: $22.22 processed by Julie's Jewelry Store. If authorized reply "YES" otherwise reply "NO".
To take advantage of this fraud protection service, just make sure your phone number is up to date on your Honor account. You can do this within your online account, by calling our Member Solutions Center at 800.442.2800, or by coming into your local Honor branch.
