Honor Credit Union Partners with Kalamazoo Brewery to Raise Funds for Patrol Dog

BERRIEN SPRINGS, MICHIGAN—January 17, 2018— The Honor Credit Union Foundation is proud to support the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s K9 Team to raise funds to purchase and train their newest patrol dog, Roseco (pronounced Ross-Co). Honor is teaming up with Boatyard Brewing Company to host a special two-day event on Friday, January 19, and Saturday, January 20, to release “THE ROSECO” Ale.

The name Roseco comes from Richland native and fallen Wayne State University police officer, Collin Rose. Boatyard Brewing will donate $1 to the K9 fund for each pint served. Team Honor will be present both days of the event to accept additional donations and answer any questions about the fundraising efforts.

Kayde Gudzikowski, Honor’s Gull Lake Branch Manager, believes Honor’s role in this program provides yet another way for the credit union to give back to the communities it serves. “Honor is excited to help the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office in their efforts to keep our members and our communities safe,” Gudzikowski stated.

The Emmett Township Department of Public Safety will also purchase and train a new patrol dog, Copper, with the fundraising help of Honor Credit Union. The Honor Credit Union Foundation will match up to $5,000 of the donation’s total for each of the two K9s. Any business or community member that would like to donate is encouraged to contact Gudzikowski, at 800-442-2800 ext. 9060, or make an online donation at HonorCU.com.
