The Unconventional Financial Folks

What does it look like when a credit union flips the script on providing a traditional service? What does it mean to be “unconventional” in the world of finance?

At Honor Credit Union, we work hard every day to answer those questions. For us, it starts by being obsessed with the member experience.

Our mantra is “Simple Experience, Smart Advice” and everything we do is in support of that concept.

We focus on delivering solutions tailored to fit each and every member, knowing that finances are personal, and dreams need a plan.

From our mobile app to our member centers across both peninsulas, we strive to meet each member with a hospitality mindset and a mission to make the small part of their day that they spend with us as seamless and easy as possible.

It’s no accident that we stick a giant smiley face on everything that is Honor, we are genuinely happy to help.

But to be the “Unconventional Financial Folks” requires both effort and intent. We don’t fit the mold, we break it and build our own.

How are we building our cooperative?

We engage with members (current and potential) on social media. We are actively involved in our communities. We seek out ways to improve the member experience. We research and test and pilot and plan. We listen to our members. We figure out the problem and work hard to find the solution.

We know that, for many people, money can be scary and intimidating - but we also know that it doesn’t have to be. We make it our job to be accessible, be helpful, and be a resource.

We’re the bankers you’d have a beer with at the end of the day.
