Honor Credit Union Announces Juan Salinas As Community Assistant Vice President

BERRIEN SPRINGS, MICHIGAN – June 10, 2019 – Honor Credit Union is excited to announce the internal promotion of Juan Salinas. Formerly serving as Member Center Manager, Salinas recently accepted the role of Community Assistant Vice President for the Kalamazoo area.

Born in Miami, Florida, Salinas moved to Shelby, Michigan with his family at the age of six. In 2004 he moved to Kalamazoo to study Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Western Michigan University. Salinas currently lives in Kalamazoo with his wife Leslie, 4-year-old daughter Olivia Grace Salinas, and 2-year-old son Jaxon Robert Salinas.  

Salinas brings 14 years of experience in banking, retail, and customer service to his new position. His career at Honor Credit Union began in 2017 as the Kalamazoo Drake Road Member Center Manager, where he was committed to guiding his team, managing the member center, and making a positive impact on the Kalamazoo community.

As part of the Member Experience Team, the Community Assistant Vice President works closely with Honor’s Member Center Managers, Business Services, and Real Estate teams to create relationships, serve the community, and act as a connector to provide members with financial solutions for success. As a CAVP, Salinas will be heavily involved in supporting community organizations and building business partnerships.  

“I’m so excited to have the opportunity to focus all of my attention on the Kalamazoo community,” commented Salinas. “I am confident that my vision for this wonderful place will begin to take off, and a thriving Kalamazoo will begin to form.  I am truly passionate about offering my community the absolute best advice for their financial success.”
