Adele's Alive Day Run
Honor's Plainwell and Allegan Branch Manager, Adele Garcia, will embark on a 12-hour fundraising run touring five Honor locations in Southwest Michigan on May 25th. She will begin her run at 5 a.m. at Honor's Operations Center and make stops at the Stevensville, St. Joseph, Benton Harbor, and Berrien Springs branches before finishing back at the Operations Center at 5:30 p.m.
Thanks to an anonymous donor, our first $2,000 raised will be matched by another $2,000!
Adele's goal is to raise $13,000. That is $1,000 for every year she has been alive since being wounded in Iraq while serving in the U.S. Army. She will donate half of the pledged proceeds to the Honor Credit Union Foundation scholarship program, and the other 50 percent will be split and donated to the Veteran Affairs Medical Center and Cereal City Chief's Council in Battle Creek.
